The AECOS laboratory specializes in testing for environmental quality: conducting soil, water quality, and drinking water analyses. Measurements in the marine environment is a speciality.
Check out our capabilities:
AECOS chemists and laboratory technicians are trained and certified to handle hazardous materials (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and to conduct drinking water analyses (State of Hawaii, Department of Health). The AECOS laboratory participates in U.S. Environmental Projection Agency (EPA) performance evaluations for the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), and other water pollution programs to validate laboratory performance and ensure reliability of reported results. Field studies use established techniques for onsite sampling, organism collection, and measurement of standard environmental parameters.
An affiliate laboratory, AECOS Laboratory of Hawaii, is located in Kailua-Kona on the Island of Hawai'i and provides an alternative for some of our neighbor island projects.
